you think it's important that all your gear is the best
but if you're heart is not in it, there's no way you'll impress

cuz to many bands jump on the latest fad
thinking they'll be as big as the bands that already have
I see it all the time these bands don't have a clue
by the time it blows up, that scene is already thru

So give me a bunch of kids who got something to say
and don't care who's listening, they're making noise anyway
these are the kids who are keeping Punk Rock alive
and they're also the reason D.I.Y. will never die!

you can't understand why I'm not chasing after fame

but when I play my music people still get down to it

the songs that I write are cuz the music sounds good to me
I don't care about the masses or their profitability
